Documentation Findira Newsletter
Findira Newsletter documentation.
Installation and operating guidance for Findira Newsletter Free 1.4.0 and the optional Pro 1.0.0 add-on.
Install the Free plugin
Findira Newsletter requires WordPress 6.3 or newer and PHP 8.1 or newer. Install it from WordPress.org when available, or upload the Free ZIP through Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, then activate it.
Initial setup
- Configure the sender under Settings → General.
- Configure WordPress mail, SMTP, or Mailgun under Settings → Mailer.
- Keep double opt-in enabled unless a lawful alternative applies.
- Embed a form with the Gutenberg block or the shortcode below.
- Send a test campaign before sending to subscribers.
[fnl_form id="1"]Install Pro as a second plugin
Keep Free installed and active. Upload the Findira Newsletter Pro ZIP as a separate plugin, activate it, then enter the customer license under Newsletter → Settings → License.
Do not replace Free with the Pro ZIP. Pro extends Free and does not contain a second copy of the Free plugin.
Subscribers, lists, and forms
Manage unlimited subscribers without an artificial Findira quantity limit. Subscriber records use pending, confirmed, and unsubscribed statuses and can be organized into named lists.
Free includes CSV import and export, multiple opt-in forms, the Gutenberg block and shortcode, editable form content and styling, custom CSS, display rules, double opt-in, consent records, and confirmation and unsubscribe flows.
Manual additions and imports bypass the public double opt-in form. Only add people with valid permission and keep evidence of consent or another lawful basis.
Campaigns, delivery, and analytics
Create, edit, duplicate, test, schedule, queue, and send campaigns through wp_mail, SMTP, or Mailgun. Queue diagnostics, retries, and duplicate-send protection help you operate delivery reliably.
Free has no artificial Findira recipient limit. Actual capacity depends on your WordPress host, WP-Cron, and mail provider.

{{unsubscribe_url}}Analytics include successful sends, opens, clicks, reporting periods, campaign performance, and top links. Opens are approximate because mail clients may block or proxy tracking pixels.
Advanced Pro workflows
An active Pro license unlocks reusable templates, dynamic segments, automations, segment targeting, campaign-level custom CSS, and advanced Findira AI workflow tools.
If Pro is missing, inactive, or unlicensed, Free remains functional while protected Pro operations remain locked.
Pro licensing and transfers
- Annual and Lifetime licenses each activate on one site.
- Normal updates, uploaded replacement ZIPs, and deactivate/reactivate preserve the license.
- An expired or disabled key locks Pro after validation; Free continues working.
- To move a license, deactivate the old site before activating the new site.
- Deleting Pro releases the remote activation. After reinstalling, enter the same key again.
Privacy and data lifecycle
Subscriber and campaign records are stored in your WordPress database. Your website remains responsible for a valid legal basis, transparent privacy information, processor agreements, retention rules, and data-subject requests.
Updates do not run uninstall logic. The destructive Remove data on uninstall setting is off by default; enable it only when you intentionally want Newsletter data permanently removed when deleting the plugin.
Troubleshooting
Mail is not delivered
Verify sender and mailer credentials, send a test email, confirm WP-Cron runs, inspect queue diagnostics and failed items, and check SPF, DKIM, and DMARC for the sender domain.
Pro is installed but locked
Confirm Free and Pro are active, the key belongs to Findira Newsletter Pro, and the key is not expired, disabled, or active on another site. Deactivate an obsolete site before transferring.
